A Modern Haiku Sequence about Killing Yourself

A Modern Haiku Sequence about Killing Yourself

grey sunshine
another morning has come
to get me

train whistle
the deep draw
of the bridge

bare branches
what i would give
to be fruit

clocking in
the office’s shadow
erases mine

snow settling
in a graveyard
the way home

bedtime story
the things i don’t tell
to the children

midnight
counting the number
of pills

sleep aids
making my own
winter
